What is asset management policy?
An asset management policy is the foundation of an asset management strategy. It is a high-level statement that sets the guiding principles to help your organisation deliver its asset management objectives. The asset management policy also identifies which pieces of legislation must be complied with; the key outputs of the asset management plan; and identifying who’s responsible for delivering these.
If you’re working to ISO 55001:2014 certification, an asset management policy is a core requirement.
